Doug & Mae Lovgren currently serve as the Evangelist & Women’s Ministry Leader of the North Family of the San Diego Church of Christ. They have served in the full-time ministry for 22 plus years. Doug & Mae met in the College ministry while attending San Diego State University (1994). They’ve been married over 24yrs. & have 2 amazing young men (Jaxon 20yrs. old & Jeric 18yrs. old). After graduating from SDSU in 1995 they dove head first into life together as Campus Ministers for the Southwest US and the adventure hasn’t stopped. They’ve served in various ministries; college, youth, professional singles & family. They moved to Las Vegas in 2003 to continue their journey out of the full time ministry and begin a fresh new chapter. In August of 2008 the Lovgren’s packed up and answered the call by God to lead the ministry in Cerritos, California - serving as Evangelist & Women’s Ministry Leader for the Los Angeles International Church of Christ/ Metro LA Region for over 8 years. On July 1st of 2016, they answered the call from God to come back home to San Diego where their journey began many years ago. San Diego has remained home to them. They love to empower people to use their gifts and talents to make a difference for Christ in the world around them. One of their passions is helping couples understand God’s plan for marriage through the Bible. The foundation of their marriage has been built on faith, trust & loving God’s way. A scripture they hold dear to as a family - 1 Thessalonians 2:8; “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” We love sharing our lives, that God has blessed us with, with as many as possible!!
