Scott and Raquel Are Married!
Scott and Raquel had a beautiful wedding in Napa yesterday! They had a wedding ceremony full of love, family, and friendship. Family and friends came in from near and far and from many fellowships. Both Raquel and Scott's families were there in full force, supporting the bride and groom. In addition to disciples from the Bay Area, disciples from Sacramento were there from relationships Raquel had when she was a part of the Davis ministry, and disciples from the Fresno area were there as well because Scott had been a part of that ministry in the past. Raquel moved here from there just this year to make the Bay Area her new home. During the ceremony, they both read their vows to each other, and they had special traditional Mexican wedding rituals. One ritual symbolizes trust between one another and the other, showing the intent to become one. At the reception, there was a delicious spread of food and a ton of fellowship with a background of grapevines and a beautiful sunset. They heard heartfelt toasts of loved ones; they danced, laughed, and enjoyed the evening surrounded by loved ones. Please pray for Scott and Raquel as they start this new chapter in their lives. We are so grateful to have them as part of our spiritual family, and we look forward to seeing what God has in store for them as husband and wife! Congratulations, Scott and Raquel! |
HOPE worldwide Is Actively Responding To Hurricane HeleneDonate Today Pedro Garcia-Bengochea, Sr. Director, Church Relations of HOPE worldwide, who came out earlier this year as a guest speaker, sent us an email regarding the terrible impact of Hurricane Helene on so many families in the path of the hurricane and what HOPE worldwide has been working on this week. HOPE worldwide is actively responding to Hurricane Helene in various states. Their Global Disaster Response team is on the ground working with local partners within affected communities to provide assistance. In addition to delivering immediate relief supplies and clearing debris, this past week they were establishing a base of operations and assessing plans for longer-term recovery efforts. In North Carolina, the disaster response truck and trailer delivered aid in Asheville - distributing water, diapers, and hygiene kits (provided by donations and partners at Heart to Heart International). They are also closely coordinating with local church partners, the Asheville Church Network, to set up a base of operations and supply families in need. In Georgia, HOPE worldwide has been tapped by the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) to deliver water and supplies to Augusta, Georgia. In Florida, HOPE worldwide Chapters in Tampa, Fort Myers, and Tallahassee are sending teams to clean up debris and assist families along the Gulf Coast. Finally, HOPE worldwide is taking up a collection to help our brothers, sisters, their families, and neighbors recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene last weekend. Your assistance in this time of need would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in making a donation, please click on the link below. Thank you for our compassion and ongoing support of HOPE worldwide. For more infomation visit:

The Singles Potluck Was A Blast!
Last Sunday, after our All Fellowship Church Service in Berkeley, we had a great time at Euclid Park! Singles from San Francisco, the East Bay, Tri-Valley, and the Peninsula came and broke bread together! It was a great time to get to know each other better and to get feedback on how to build community through fellowship and events! We talked about getting together more often and even had some who wanted to have a Singles event bi-weekly! Thanks to all of you who came out! For those who couldn't make it, no worries; we will have more events coming up soon. If you want to be added to our list of contacts for upcoming events, send us an email at community@sfbayfellowship.com. |
