Winter Midweek Zoom LessonWednesday, February 19, 2025 This Wednesday, February 19, at 7:30 pm* is our next *All-Church Zoom Midweek*. Tom Hughes will be continuing our series on the reliability of the Bible, how we got it, and the context of the world in which it was written. His lesson will be on understanding the history of what took place between the Old Testament and the New Testament – a look at Second Temple Judaism and the intertestamental period. This is a great topic to build your own faith, as well as make it easier to answer questions from your friends. At the end of the Midweek we will have optional breakout rooms for Prayer, Fellowship, etc. If you need the link, please ask your fellowship group leader or you can email Brock Roby at Brock@sfbayfellowship.com. See you then! |

Profile of Faith: Johny Locust, Christian Hip Hop ArtistFrom Our Sister Church the Capital Rivers Church of Christ (Article from DisciplesToday.org) As a Christian artist, I’ve been blessed to witness firsthand how God can use creativity to speak truth, encourage others, and spread the gospel. However, my journey to this point has been nothing short of transformative. Before I surrendered my life to Christ, I was chasing after attention. I wanted people to applaud my talents and efforts. I poured endless hours into my craft, but despite all my hard work, I never found the fulfillment I was seeking. I couldn’t see in myself what I desperately wanted others to see, and gradually, my drive as an artist began to fade. I shifted my focus to romantic relationships, thinking they might fill the emptiness. But instead, I found myself emotionally drained, jumping from one relationship to another, still convinced that something was missing. The turning point came after I was involved in a car accident. I walked away without injury, but as I waited for the tow truck, something shifted within me. I realized I had had enough of trying to make my own choices. In that moment, I longed for something more, something real. I began to earnestly seek to understand who Jesus is – his grace, repentance, forgiveness – and how deeply God loved me, even in my brokenness. It was Bryce Thompson, a brother from the Montgomery Church of Christ (now known as Capital Rivers Church of Christ), who reached out to me. He was DJing a live performance I was part of, and we connected after the show. We shared our values and stances, and eventually, we studied the Bible together. A couple of months later, I was baptized into the faith. Becoming a disciple didn’t just change my spiritual life, it transformed the way I viewed my art. What was once a tool for self-expression and validation became a means to share God’s love and truth. I began creating with purpose; not for attention, but to serve others and honor God. My art became a form of worship. Every song I wrote, every performance I gave, became an opportunity to point people to Christ. The journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments of doubt, financial struggles, and the temptation to compromise for success. There were times when I questioned whether my art could truly make an impact. But through it all, I’ve learned to trust God’s timing and his plan for my life, even when the path seemed unclear. Today, my prayer is that my work will continue to point people to Christ, be a light in dark places, and inspire others to seek a relationship with him. I’ve learned that no matter where you are in your journey, God has a plan for you. He can use your gifts – no matter how imperfect they may seem – for his glory. Stay faithful, trust in his timing, and he will lead you where you need to go. Johny’s second album The Inevitable is set to release on March 22nd, 2025, available on all streaming platforms. Support Ukrainian Disciples through Day of Prayer, Fasting and Giving On February 24, 2025
(This article contains excerpts from an article on DisciplesToday.org. To see full article click on the button below.) On February 24, 2025, we mark the third year since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. As we reflect on this solemn anniversary, we are reminded of the steadfast faith, courage, and perseverance of our brothers and sisters in Christ who continue to endure unimaginable hardships. Since February 24, 2022, over 2,500 of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine have seen their lives irreversibly changed. Nonetheless, the Kyiv Church established a beacon of light in the darkness as they established a rehabilitation center which has already served over 500 men traumatized by war. Over 30 of these men even made a decision to make Jesus their Lord and experienced spiritual rebirth via baptism. Through your prayers and generosity, the Ukraine Relief Fund has provided vital aid: supporting ministry staff, supplying humanitarian relief, and helping displaced disciples find refuge. But the need remains great. The war continues to bring destruction, displacement, and despair to our Ukrainian brethren. Churches face enormous challenges – lack of food, water, clothing, housing, and medical care. Spiritual needs have also intensified, with staffing cuts leaving many vulnerable and overwhelmed. Thus, we are calling on our global fellowship of churches to dedicate February 24, 2025, as a day of fasting, prayer, and financial support for the Ukraine Relief Fund. On this day, let us unite to petition God for peace, perseverance, and healing for Ukraine, and to share generously from the blessings he has given us. Every contribution to the Ukraine Relief Fund goes directly to meeting the pressing physical and spiritual needs of our Ukrainian family. Together, we can remind them that they are not forgotten, and that we are indeed “present with you in spirit” (Colossians 2:5). On behalf of our Ukrainian brothers and sisters, thank you for standing with them in prayer, fasting, and giving. May we be the hands and feet of Christ to those in desperate need. - European Missions Society

Thank You For Your Donation and/or Tithe To Our Fellowship
We wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have generously donated or tithed to our fellowship to help us advance the gospel throughout the Bay Area. In January, our average weekly donation was $4904. We continue to pray that God will move in remarkable ways and multiply what we have to help many souls have a relationship with God. If you are interested in donating or giving a tithe to our fellowship, please click on the "Tithe" button below. We appreciate any and all donations and hope that God multiplies them in blessings for you and your loved ones. Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” For more infomation visit:
