Welcome To The Family Isaac!
We want to introduce our newest brother, Isaac! Isaac is a 17-year-old high school student who plays football and baseball. He is known for having a heart for others, and his family shared that he is the encouragement that keeps his family going. Isaac requested to be baptized in God's ocean. So, his friends David and Daniel baptized him at the beach in Alameda last Sunday. Many of his family members came to witness Isaac's baptism, including his dad, grandfather, aunt, and other family and friends. Isaac found encouragement and conviction from his brothers and sisters, who were willing to go the distance to build a relationship with him. Brothers & sisters impacted Isaac's life who lived in San Francisco, Dublin & the other surrounding areas in the Bay Area. Brothers like Paul, Jamil, Noel, Larry, Anton, Ivver & others made a huge difference in Isaac's life. Isaac's dad noted that the Church in San Francisco was such a wonderful support system for Isaac, and his family saw the love of God from the brothers and sisters who were willing to go the distance for his son. Isaac calls God's Bible God's playbook. God's playbook has changed his life and given him a new direction. Isaac says he's here to make a difference in other people's lives. He wants to pass on to others what God has given him. Isaac wants to go make disciples of all nations. Matthew 28:18-20 NIV - Daniel, The City Fellowship Group |

Families Of Vision Monthly MeetingA faith-based family support group for families caring for people with mental heath conditions. - Sunday, November 17, 2024 When someone you love is diagnosed with mental health condition, it is a traumatic experience. You are not alone! We have walked in your shoes and understand what you are going through. We believe that in addition to education and support, we need FAITH to strengthen us in this journey. We meet on the Third Sunday of the month between 1:30 - 2:30 pm over Zoom. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV Our group is called “Families of Vision” because we are families who believe in having a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. Building Godly families is not an easy in today’s world, and when our loved ones are diagnosed with mental health conditions, the challenges increase ten-fold. This can lead to discouragement and hopelessness. However, there is Hope in God! In Psalm 127, the Bible says that God builds our families and He has a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11-13, Ephesians 2:10). Faith from scriptures give us hope, comfort and guidance we need to support our loved ones to recovery. By supporting each other in this journey, we will endure and continue to hold on to a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. “Families of Vision” is facilitated by NAMI-trained parents and follows the NAMI FaithNet model for the support group. Along with Bible scriptures, we use NAMI’s Principles of Support to guide our discussions. We truly believe that when we are comforted by God, we will be able to comfort others. Please click on the button below to register for the event.

Veteran's Day is Tomorrow, November 11, 2024
Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, a day to pay our respects to those who have served in the military. This holiday started as "Armistice Day," a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country's service. It fell on November 11 because that is the anniversary of the Armistice signing that ended World War I. However, in 1954, the holiday was changed to "Veterans Day" to account for all war veterans. (Information from https://www.military.com/veterans-day) If you are a veteran, we want to thank you for your service and wish you a Happy Veterans Day this Friday! Here is a list of restaurants that give out discounts, freebies and more on Veteran's Day for Veterans from Military.com. We hope you can take advantage and enjoy!
