Our Sister Church (Lifeway Church) Had a Family Whose House Burned Down
The following is the information of the family that house was burned down from the Lifeway Region. Nazan and Mitzi are disciples who unfortunately lost all of their possessions (they have about 5% left) and pet cat due to a fire and are now homeless. On July 31 @ 12:00p, a stranger broke into their home and burned it down. The stranger who did this has been caught, but everything they had is now gone. Losing their home, their possessions, and their pet cat Oreo is an unfathomable devastation to them and their two kids. It is in these moments that communities have the opportunity to stand together and assist each other when we are in dire need.
They had rented the house that caught on fire and they did not have renters insurance, therefore, they are in need of financial assistance and prayers.
Your prayer will be greatly appreciated. To anyone who is called to make a donation, thank you for your generosity and support.
If you want to donate here is the link for their gofoundme fundraiser: https://gofund.me/12103258 See news video of the incident and a story about one of their kids Bibles that did not burn! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8Fy9qO7vLk Thank you so much for your prayers and donations to those of you who are so called to donate! |
Families Of Vision Monthly MeetingA faith-based family support group for families caring for people with mental heath conditions. - Sunday, August 18, 2024 When someone you love is diagnosed with mental health condition, it is a traumatic experience. You are not alone! We have walked in your shoes and understand what you are going through. We believe that in addition to education and support, we need FAITH to strengthen us in this journey. We meet on the Third Sunday of the month between 1:30 - 2:30 pm over Zoom. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV Our group is called “Families of Vision” because we are families who believe in having a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. Building Godly families is not an easy in today’s world, and when our loved ones are diagnosed with mental health conditions, the challenges increase ten-fold. This can lead to discouragement and hopelessness. However, there is Hope in God! “Families of Vision” is facilitated by NAMI-trained parents and follows the NAMI FaithNet model for the support group.
